For Physicians and NPs

Referral-based specialist care for perimenopause/menopause, cardiometabolic, and perioperative health — virtual, across British Columbia. A consultative practice that complements primary care; consultation notes are returned to the referring provider. Care is delivered primarily through MSP-covered group medical visits, with individual consultation for unusual or complex cases.

When to refer

Perimenopause & Menopause — perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms (natural or surgical); MHT decision-making, including with family history of breast cancer or pending genetic testing; multi-system presentations; symptoms persisting despite initial management.

Disease-Specific Consultation — metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance; dyslipidemia (including elevated ApoB or Lp(a)) and cardiovascular risk; thyroid dysfunction; prediabetes and type 2 diabetes; IBS and functional GI; persistent fatigue; iron deficiency; OSA screening. Best suited to interconnected presentations needing more time than a routine visit allows.

Prehabilitation Before Surgery — patients awaiting elective surgery who would benefit from preoperative optimization, particularly with deconditioning, poorly controlled diabetes, anemia, obesity or metabolic syndrome, frailty, or elevated cardiovascular risk. Earlier referral allows more preparation time — please include the planned surgery date.

What you'll receive. A consultation summary and recommendations returned to you (and, for prehabilitation, to the referring surgeon) to support continuing care.

How to refer. An active referral is required for MSP-covered group medical visits. Fax the referral form to 778-729-1243. Referrals are accepted across British Columbia; all visits are virtual. Referral forms here.

Fees & coverage. Group medical visits are MSP-covered for referred, eligible patients, with no fee. Individual consultations are private, billed at $350/hour, pro-rated; reduced-rate options are available for those facing financial barriers. Labs and supplements are not included in any fee, though most recommended testing is evidence-based and often MSP-covered. Individual private appointments require 48 hours' notice to change or cancel.
